NEWBORN SESSION

NEWBORN SESSION

Experience Guide

I want you to know that I feel so honored to be your photographer and can't wait to capture this precious time with your family!  My goal is simple: I want your session to be as fun and stress-free as possible!  The following information will help you get the absolute most out of your photos. By the time you’ve read through it, you'll hopefully have all of your questions answered and feel ready and prepared for your session!

First Things First:
I will put your due date on my calendar so that I have a general idea of when baby will come and then we will schedule the newborn session once baby arrives.  I like to do these sessions before baby is 2 weeks old, so please reach out to me within 24-48 hours after you deliver so that we can schedule your session.

Morning light tends to be best, so I typically schedule newborn session for 10am.  The direction your house faces and the side of the house that your windows are on play a factor, so I may have you send me a few pictures before we nail down an exact time just to make sure we get the best light.  We want it bright but no direct sunlight.

Is Your Home A Good Fit?
My soft and airy style is most attainable when there is an abundance of natural light. The color of your walls, furniture, and bedding will also play a factor in how the images feel over all.  Light, neutral colors are going to give us that creamy dreamy look we want whereas dark colors are going to create a lot of contrast and change the over all feel of your images. If you are concerned about not having enough natural light in your home, please let me know.

Alternate Locations
If you don't think your home is the best place for your session, don't worry!  There are a few studios in the valley that have beautiful lifestyle rooms that are perfect for newborn sessions.
